Frequently Asked Questions

Does A+ Academy provide a license after a student has passed the test?

No. A+ Academy Driving School is an authorized test provider, but only the Department of Public Safety (DPS) can issue licenses.

What Happens After the Test?

Teens and adults who pass the road test will be given a sealed envelope containing their drivers education documents listed above and their test results. Once sealed, the envelope can not be opened unless by a DPS representative.

The envelope must be submitted to DPS to receive a drivers license. The envelope is not a substitute for the license.

Which DPS do I take my envelope to?

All DPS locations in the state of Texas will accept your envelope as long as it has remained sealed.

I opened my envelope. What should I do?

You will need to return to our office to have your documents resealed.
