Tester MUST have a Texas Teen Learner Permit or a B-Restricted Adult Driver License, with a picture, issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Create your student account from the Register tab to view the schedule, pay, and book an appointment. Select "Student Center" to view the available appointments prior to making payment. We add appointments all the time.
BRING HARD COPIES of ALL your required documents and a vehicle that you are comfortable driving, to your appointment. Documents vary based on the driver's ed completion program.
Your required documents and test results will be placed in a sealed envelope for you to deliver to ANY DPS office. Opening the envelope will void your test documents. Resealing/duplication fees may apply.
Submit your envelope to DPS by appointment or walk-in. DPS will require additional documents./p>
DPS will issue another paper copy of your license and send the plastic by mail after 2 weeks.
This test allows teens and adults to upgrade their learner permit to a driver's license.
All documents and a vehicle must be provided on the day of your appointment. The Road Test is Non-Refundable. No Shows will be charged for a second attempt.
This gives permit holders an opportunity to check your skills, practice parallel parking and get tips in preparation for your Road Test.
